Video2Audio uses a technology called WebAssembly to run an audio/video conversion engine (FFmpeg) directly inside your browser tab. When you select or drop a file, it is read locally by your browser and processed on your own device's hardware. At no point is the file sent over the network to Video2Audio or any third party.
To keep the site fast and free to run, the one-time conversion engine (a set of JavaScript and WebAssembly files, roughly 30MB) is loaded from a public content delivery network (jsDelivr or unpkg) the first time you use the converter in a browser session. These are the same free, open-source files used by many websites; they contain only program code, not your data. No part of your video or audio file is ever sent to these CDNs.
Video2Audio displays ads served by a third-party ad network (Monetag) to help keep this tool free to use. This ad network may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies in your browser to serve and measure ads, and may collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and general location. This applies only to how ads are shown on this webpage — it is separate from, and has no access to, the video or audio files you convert, which never leave your device.
You can control ad personalization through your browser's privacy settings, or by using an ad blocker if you prefer not to see ads.
Aside from the advertising cookies described above, Video2Audio does not set its own tracking cookies and does not run separate analytics scripts that profile individual visitors. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.
